Forney ISD Jan. 08, 2018 recognized FHS band, approved more furniture for more students, new fire system at FHS, and ended a late meeting with Superintendent McWilliams announcing her retirement.
On Dec. 01, 2017 the FISD Board approved $20 million for school renovations to handle 1,200 more students, discussed dual-credit and certification programs.
FEDC Aug. 10 meeting approved HOT funds: $60k for city, $49k for organizations: FAC, some for FDBA & FPHL, almost none for Lion's Club, zero for Garden Club.
Forney P&Z met with a full audience, and after hearing their comments, denied a zoning request at Lover's & Hwy 80. They were also presented a plan to make part of Main St like Swiss Ave in Dallas.
