Capital Cmte sets parameters for impact fees

During its regular July 02, 2020 meeting, the Forney Capital Improvements Advisory Committee met to consider water/sewer fees, land use assumptions and 10-year growth.

• Discuss an update of the water and sewer impact fee system by discussing the schedule for study and methodology to be used in the update.
      In summary: Mr. Richard Dormier briefed the commission on the history and proposed plan.  They can calculate the new fee schedule with 3, 5 or 7 per cent growth rate.  After much discussion, 5% was agreed upon as a conservative rate.  The plan may be reviewed and modified at any time.
      Land use assumptions were discussed, for the next 10 year period.
      Mr. Dormier will produce a draft plan and bring it back to committee.
