Forney ISD approves pay for employees during closure

During an emergency Mar. 17, 2020 meeting, the Forney Independent School District Board met at 07:30 AM to approve employee pay.

• According to official documents: Dr. Terry said the district is going virtual for education purposes.
      Ms. Morisak spoke about chromebooks, hotlines and free wi-fi.  Dr. Terry said the was a hotline for counseling.
      Dr. Webber gave a report on the learning system that will be used.
      Dr. Terry said the STARR test is canceled for the year, and they will have breakfast/lunch pickup for all kids 18 and under.
  
• Approved a resolution to pay employees in the event of school closure due to Coronavirus/COVID-19.
